Resampling means to change the bandwidth, as though a different bandwidth had been used to do the original capture. Resampling is an effective way to change the sample bandwidth, but it may introduce a little bit of noise. In order to resample, you must know the original sample bandwidth. For most file types, when you load an input file, the number of points, maximum value and RMS value fields are calculated and displayed. The Bandwidth field cannot be determined from the raw data and must be input by the user. Resampling repeatedly will degrade the signal. Always start over from the original data, rather than resampling a resampled data file. To resample:
1. Click Input File to load a data file. The Open dialog opens to select a file.
2. Type or enter the Bandwidth in Input File Description.
3. Type or enter the Bandwidth in the Output File Description.
4. Click Resample Output. The resampled data will be drawn in the Output Graph. You should notice that it has the same form, but is slightly spread out or compressed. The IQ diagrams should look the same.
