The basic goal of a wireless communication system is to transfer the maximum amount of RF energy to achieve coverage (Figure: Coverage Area). Wireless communication systems require good integration of all components from the ground to the antenna. Problems such as dented shielding, bad connectors, water ingress, or over torque will cause a mismatch and reflect power.
