MX280005A Vector Signal Analysis Software Help : Basic Operation : Modulation Parameters Tab : Mapping Edit

Mapping Edit
Mapping Edit is used to change the bit value in the symbol data column corresponding to that in the allocation column from the default setting.
The setting is changed by recalling the file that specifies the bit value in the symbol data column corresponding to that in the allocation column.
Specifying Configuration File for Mapping Edit
The following example describes how to specify a configuration file used to edit mapping.
Example
Create the file in the text format. Any file name and extension can be specified. On each line, specify the symbol data bit sequence in binary. Refer to the 16QAM settings in Table: 16QAM Settings for Allocation and Symbol data.
5. Specify the symbol data for allocation 0 on the first line. For 16QAM, type 1000 for the first line.
6. Specify the symbol data for allocation 1 on the second line. For 16QAM, type 1010 for the second line, type 0010 for the third line. Continue to specify symbol data for allocations until the number of symbols is reached. For 16QAM, 0100 is the last entry for specifying mapping editing.
The number of symbols depends on the specified modulation type. The number of symbols must match the number of lines.

If Frame Formatted is selected for the signal to be measured, changes the Frame Formatted values to the defaults.
If Non-Formatted is selected, changes the Non-Formatted values to the defaults.
